Stepped away from the hobby for a while, anything major change?

Been out of the saltwater tank game for about six years now (seems like it was just yesterday that I was banging my head trying to fight the hair algae/other issues with my tanks.) and was just curious if any major changes in the hobby have occurred? I hate it looks like the activity on the group has declined significantly. :(

Leds, Gyre type powerheads, dosing pumps, Neptune Apex controller, DC pumps, Skimmers have come a long way. Those are just a few advancements. There's a much larger selection of fish and coral available as well.

Not sure about 6 years ago, but now people have started to give their fish and coral vodka.

Like Brett said, many equipment items have changed.

My tank has a serious drinking problem ;-)

A lot more options for things, but the algae issues remain....

One thing that is different is the resources available now-- professional videos from BRS (that's Bulk Reef Supply) and general YouTube stuff that would have really helped me 6 years ago when I started.
