If its not one thing its another.

---Put together my DIY LED setup, got it all put together and plugged it in and POOF! Smoke and then fried a driver board.

---Bought a RKE and got it hooked up, the BAM!!!! the head unit started going crazy and would not respond to any commands I gave it. Like a button was stuck.

---Had a bunch of power clitches from the big storm last week and then BOOM!!!!! Bubble Master Pump on the skimmer dosent work anymore. Ive tried everything to get it to work.

What next.... I am afraid to turn anything on or off anymore.

No and yes, the skimmer was in the tank running, and the RKE was also on the same circut. the LED's were in the garage on my work bench,

V2 - He said it wasnt a ballast interference issue. I believe it is a firmware issue and needs to be reflashed again. You know how finicky those are...

I hope its not a power issue

Wow... V1's do that like mad but never heard of a V2 doing it.

I got the SID 2.0 in yesterday evening so after work today when my son goes to sleep for the night I will try and figure out the RKE issue.

What would i need to measure the current in the circuts my tank is running on?

Well I got the SID 2.0 hooked up and reflashed everything with the new firmware and it all seems to be working correctly now.

Steves LED's is backed up on orders so it wont be until late next week before my driver and LED's ship out to me so I will be on hold for that.

I still need to get incontact with ReefSpecialty and get the proof of purchase from them so I can mail my bubble blaster off to them for inspection and possible repair.

Ya I am used to it, I am just tired of it. Oh, and another string of bad luck, I checked my military pay for this month.... Yeah, they already took my pay from me. The Govt. shutdown has already been calculated into the system and they have taken my pay check for the 15th of this month.

 - that is BS, I though I heard this AM that military wasnt affected by the shut down....

at least does that mean you dont have to work?

it would be a great investment to spend $250 - $325 for a surge protector on your home. it does help

They make them for the entire house, or just one particular circuit? I never heard of a surge protector for a whole house. Would Lowes carry it?

don't know if the carry them as a stock item but can be ordered from pro desk, I sell a hundred or so each year through my company. I personaly have not only a whole house protector that attaches to the breaker panel of my home but also have ups systems on my tv's and aquarium which are great point of use surge protection. THEY DO WORK I can attest to that
