93 has been up about 2 months and stocked since Dec. 10th and the past few days I've seen some very fine stringy brown stuff blowing around. NOT ALGAE...I REPEAT NOT ALGAE:lol2: It appears to be originating from the few zoa colonies I have in the tank (mostly from a large colony of Nuc Greens, but the other seem to be doing it too). Not bothering anything and the zoas seem happy.....are they just expelling something? They have only been in a couple weeks when I transferred them from another of my tanks. This tank has WAAYYYYY more light and much cleaner water than they were accustomed to. Just had them stored in my PC lit QT.

In case: 93 display, 24 sump, 12 fuge, 400wMH, 2-24" VHO, 2-24" PC actinics

SG-1.026
pH- 8.3-8.4
Temp- 78 constant
Alk- 9 dKh
Nitrates-0
PO- 0 (and yes I know that's not likely.....but it is a new tank running reactors:D)
CA- 425-450
MG- 1400+

any teenage boys hanging around the tank?

*smirk

I actually get the same things when I move stuff around or added these mushrooms. I think it's just some sort of self-defense or stress. It always goes away.
