well every time i go away for a day or two, something bad happens.

My Blue Angel is showing signs of ich, and i am very unhappy. The moray has not been out to say hello, and the other fish are skittish as well

Tank Stats:
75 gallon.. too small, i know, just had an emergency with the tank and working to slowly get the 125 back up.

2 clowns
1 golden tail moray
2 pajama cardinal adults
1 yellow tang
and Blue

cuc includes a queen conch (about 2 1/2 inches) and an urchin.

so far i have turned off the brights and left the blues on, soaked some nori in garlic and fed the fish (blue ate heartily) and i am about to feed the moray some garlic soaked scallops.

i noticed when i returned that the tank had exploded with cyano (i think it was on the fans.. should have listened!!!) andit was on the glass. i am mixing up 15 gallons of salt water to do a pwc in the morning. i don't know whether to treat the slime, or if that will add stress..

is there anything else i can do? maybe do 25 gallon pwc?

something tells me that there was something else going on, as the rockwork is different..

I just had Ich this week too. I got some Metronidazole 5, dissolved it in Garlic Guard and soaked their Nori and food in it. I used three times and all signs of Ich are gone and the Tangs are eating like pigs.
Reason I think I got Ich to begin with was that I accidentally closed the valve to the UV and didn't turn it back on. I ran the UV 24/7 during the treatment. I'm sure the combo of UV and medicine are better than just one thing but I'm pleased with the results thus far. I will keep an eye on all of them for the next six weeks since I know the parasites life cycle is around that length.

Jerry Rigging at it's finest. i think the flow may be little fast, but i am working with what i have right now, and will get Sal out here to help me out when he can :)
