stupid question

update, it is now painted a black gloss... looks like crap from behind but from the front and sides it is an amazing look... thanks

I'm late into this one... background usually comes in 24" (largest) but there is some floating around out there that's 29" or 30"...

Brand of Spray Paint: http://www.krylon.com/">http://www.krylon.com/</a>

You can google about painting aquarium backgrounds with krylon and get many hits.

It think Chris at Einstein has some black background, not sure the deminsions but he uses them on the Elos systems, as it isn't a great idea to paint such an expensive system when there's an easy alternative.

Paint comes off super easy with a razor blade.. I didn't think twice about painting the back of my tank..

Yup, me neither, but I got mine "used". If I ever spring for a new tank, I'll be looking for some black contact paper big enough to do the back.

I had just cut a piece of particle board to size and painted it. Then I mounted it up in the stand and attached it to the canopy and it looked fine. I eventually removed it when I let the back glass encrust over with coraline.

Even if I pulled it out of the cardboard, I would still paint it.. As long as you can get to it, It comes off in a few minutes with some elbow grease.
