Substrate question for the experts

Thanks for the links, most of them I've read. WWM is a site you can spend hours at. So informative, so tonight I posted a question, and hope they answer it, and if they do answer it, I hope they dont knit pick the grammer and refer me to the archives. I'm leaning toward the screen idea without building the Plenum. If I have to move my livestock for any extended amount of time, I see a lot of death in the near future (I run 0 nitrites, and near 0 nitrates and have so for almost 3 years in this tank, it can't be all that bad). We'll see if the guys at WWM respond. Thanks for all ya'lls input! Dakota
