So after setting up my new 150, im contemplating adding more powerheads.
Specs are 5 x 2 x 2. Return pump is a blueline 1400gph + i think, i cant recall the specs.
Current is 2 1450 K4's that will be ran on the wave option by the RKE when it returns from DA.
So should i add two additional k4's or is that too much?
The tank will be a mixed reef of sps on the upper rocks, lps's and some softies, zoas etc in the lower.

Thanks, GP

It wouldn't be too much but it would be an eye sore. What about a closed loop?

mmmm, maybe i literally just finished all the plumbing prob a week or two ago and they tank was built four weeks ago so i doubt i will go through all that just for additional flow. Maybe move to two mp40's later but i cant justify the cost...

If you do 2 more k4's now you can always go 2 mp40's later and increase the flow and make it alot more random.

how about adding just one MP40 for now, you can adjust it to the level of flow you need and it's not that ugly. There's a couple of used ones for a bit cheaper in the dry goods forums I think.

You'll love it and buy more soon anyway :)

yes they are! also, there are used ones for sale here and there........

Im sure they are, but its very hard for me to justify spending an additional 600 or so for two more powerheads when i already have everything in house....but maybe one day, so is the consensus to add those two additional or not?

I had one of each side fo the glass for the wave maker and where should i add to the two others? I have about a 18 inch overflow in the middle, so on each side of those?
