I am new to the reef part of the hobby, and would like some input. I have a tank that I have been told is a 156 gallon (6' bowfront) with about another 40 gal in the sump. I have a few pieces, (torch, 2 types gsp, baby blue chalice, pulsing xenia, mushrooms, and a random sps that I don't know what it is) and would like to know some other corals that are easy to keep, and look good. The fish I currently have; sargassum trigger, flame angel, 2 clarki clowns, 2 "nemo" clowns, a few chromis, naso tang and dwarf lion, and snails, crabs, cleaner shrimp... other fish I am considering: another tang (purple, black, WHITE...) mandarin goby, some small schooling fish (?) And very lastly, a yellow tang (wifes orders). Only thing is, I have always had predator tanks... so I would like some input.

Not a good idea to have multiple clowns. I also think with all those fish your bio load is gonna be crazy high

not getting all of them, those are just some that I am considering. The fish I currently have, I have had for a while.

Edit: Also, I am use to having predator tanks, so I am use to VERY frequent water changes.

LOL! naw, this tank has been running for years... Just getting into the corals though. I do water changes with hot water, right out of the tap though, is that bad???

This just got interesting do you get it from your boiler?

Also, would it be better to get all of the corals first? Fish first? Does it matter?

The clowns you have , you should not have a problem with. I have had multiple clowns in a single tank many times over and never had a problem.

Kris, for a 150 this bioload is pretty normal, average about 10 fish....i do however agree that multiple clowns could cause some issues but it def has been done in alot of tanks. If it was me, id remove the lion fish and keep the rest...

Yes....Bad

Are you conditioning the water at all? Using tap water in a reef tank is a recipe for disaster in my opinion...

I was being sarcastic, because of the "Tanked" comment. Is the dwarf lion going to cause a problem with something? I have never had a problem with him...

Oh, LOL then...

Lions are massive waste producers, thats probably why they said that.
