probably not, and yes, it's overkill.. but it also uses less wattage as you throttle it down.. (and fully open it uses less than 100w)..

so the snapper, with AOsmith motor in that application would use considerably less energy than any of the other options listed..

I am running an Ocean Runner 6500. I love this pump. I forget what the output is but have it throttled back on my 90. Running return and a fuge off of it.
