Santa told me I am getting a custom sump for my 93 cube for Christmas. Guess that means a new skimmer is next. Any suggestions? I want to stay around $500 or so.

I can't imagine spending $500 for a skimmer on a 93 gal tank. I think my $200 skimmer works fine.

I would agree with Frantz. I have a 125 with about 20 in the sump and my $150 (used) skimmer works great. :-)

No offense guys but I was asking for suggestions. $500 is what I don't want to exceed. Thanks glxtrix.

I have the reef octopus XP1000sss and really like the small footprint.
It's the best skimmer I've ever owned and would definitely recommend it.

Id just replace the OTP with the bubble blaster, put a neck extender on there, and save the extra $200z

Point taken. So therefore, mine is a Reef Octopus DNWB-150 and I have been very happy with it. :)

SRO's are nice...I use to have the SRO 5000sss. The BubbleBlaster pumps are pretty impressive.

I was thinking about the 2000.

Only thing is that I have the external. I want to get a bigger sump and go with an internal skimmer.
