Ok so i want to put in a sump, but i don't know what size. I bought a used wet/dry that i was thinking about converting. Then last night steve came over and was saying that i should worry about keeping it small. He was saying i should get a 50 gallon and put it off to the side. And you won't see it cause my tank is in the wall. So the good people of ARC what the heck should i do? Go big or small?

Ok i just don't know about pluming it but i think i'm going to plum it.

I can help you plumb it, it's not too hard. Friends have showed me a lot of stuff.

Here, here! The bigger the better. Larger water volumes have a lot of advantages over smaller ones. Everything is more stable, I'm putting together a 55g reef only and it'll have a 40g sump and a 15g refugium. If you have any plumbing questions please feel free to ask. I'm not the best onr most experienced but will lend any help that I can.

well the biggest tank i can get is 36 long so i'm think of a 40 breeder. was going to get one of the 50's from tim but it did not work out.
