Sump set ups.

How is your sump/Refugium set up?

Show pictures please. I am thinking of just building a new tank a (72 L x 30 D x 24 T) So I am looking at how I want to set up the sump area. So show me what yours is.

Could I use 2 different sumps/tanks? One for the Refugium and the other one for the sump? Would that work? How would I plumb it? Thank you Bruce

I drilled two sump together and was able to make a lot more use out of it....

Didn't you run one of the sumps as a refugium? Is it working pretty well?

Does this work good for you? I have one sump already but it is too small and I have been able to find many other small sumps so this was just a thought but it looks like you made it work.

yes, I cant be more happy with it...
I currently have it coming down on the right back corner and it travels to left back side where skimmer sits with heater... and it travels to front left where uv sterilizer is and the return pump is actually in the middle of front sump... the right front is where I put the live rocks... space is small but i might change it around some later.... btw my tank is only been cycling for almost three week...

The flow of water is so slow because I use 550gallon?? return pump... so I am using UV sterilizer's out flow to make some water movement... if I look in the sump it looks as water is not moving... so I think I can make a refugium on the very right corner~~~
Or I just might make a seperate one. (It will be added to the left side where you see the empty space...)
