Sump Size ?

I'm setting up the 146, and before I get anything in it, we are going to put a sump tank under it, for when we are ready to set that up-- thinking ahead --

My ?- what size tank should I put under there? It's 6 ft long, so a 55 would fit, but wouldn't leave much room for ballasts, ect. A 29 might be too tall to work in, and a 10 seems very small.

What's everyone's thoughts?

40 breeder, if the stand is wide enough (I think they're 18" front to back).

Agreed. Go as large as you can while still having room for you other components.....40 Breeder seems a good call, larger if you can.

I will be getting rid of a 55 gallon sump this coming week. 36x18x18 I think

I'll have to double check my demensions of the inside of the stand- You have a price in mind yet?

In the meantime, I'm on the hunt for a 40 breeder I do believe
