Hey guys, my new 180 has a Current USA outer orbit fixture with 3 250 watt halides and 8 36" T5 bulbs.

For Halides, I use Phoenix 14k.
For the T5s I simply want a nice blueish look with maybe a hint of purple/actinic.

Right now it has 4 Giessman pure actinic, 2 ATI SuperBlue, and 2 Fiji Purple. It looks a bit too "pink" for me.

Any recommendations on how to make it more blue, or pop more?

When you say superblue, do you really mean Blue Plus? I'd try removing 2 of the actinic and replacing them with Blue Plus. Or you could pull the Fiji Purples and replace them with Blue Plus. Best way is to just play with it till you find the balance that suits you.

IMO you can pull the actinics. T5 Actinics are sketchy at best IMO.

I agree with JeffH. Go with the ATI Blue+ (not blue special ... although they are great.. they aren't the color you're looking for).

Careful though, the Blue + has some of the higher PAR ratings of the T5 lamps... you may shock your corals if you throw them on there all of a sudden.
