T5 Bulb recommendations

Best color is one hundred percent subjective. There is a thread on Reef Central where TONS of people were listing their bulbs and posting pictures; when I ran T5s I found it a great help. In my 6x54 light, I ran three actinic (the bluer ones, not purple), two daylight and one pink.
I can offer this: avoid cheapie bulbs. I've been down that road, and have the crappy PAR readings to back up my advice.
I would personally recommend Geisemann bulbs. ATI are well thought of also, but they are less plentiful in the industry (meaning less places have them).

hey man... I run a 7 lamp fixture over my sps tank and I can suggest the following
1 x GE Daylight 6500k
3 x ATI AquaBlueSpecial
2 x ATI Blue +
If you want a little more pop you can do 2 BlueSpecials and 3 Blue+. They both have excellent PAR values and are great lamps.

I tend to like a "whiter" tank.
I use all ATI bulbs.
2 Blue Plus
1 Purple Plus
3 Aquablue Special (white bulb although still 12K)
I've tried the 4 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI Purple Plus and a GE 6500K Daylight that is suggested on RC, but it was just to much blue for me.
