T5 v. Reefbreederd

I am considering replacing my 4 bulb T5 for the Reefbreeder LEDs to cut down on bulb replacements and to add some flexibility to the light cycle. I am curious if anyone has had experience with switching and the affects on the coral.

I switched last week from 4 t5s to Reefbreeder Photon 48...following directions and keeping LED's to 30% max-corals are fine so far although shrooms color looks a bit off. Will increase 10% a week to maybe 70% (?). The shimmer and "crispness" of the light are great. plus very little heat.

Wow. I didn't realize they were that intense. Good to know. Sounds like you are happy with them. How are the light colors?

color is not too different from t5 bulbs I used.. A little more vibrant. I may change some LEDs
out over time as I learn more about LEDs and the effect of the different colors have visually and on coral growth. Good to have this club to pick brains!
