My Kole tang has a small scratch on his side which I'm pretty sure was caused by brushing up against the coral, but this morning one of his fins has a small white spot that looks like a piece of flocking skin. Is this "the ick"?

One of the best things I have found that helps all kinds of problems is to feed small amounts of food 3-4 times a day with garlic, selcon mixed with Metro and the Focus to bind all together. You should see improvement in 4-5 days but do not stop feeding, continue for at least three weeks. Watch your water quality, I do a small water change in-between my weekly water change. It will not hurt the other fish to eat some of it. This has worked well for me. :D Holley

can't tell too much from the pic, but doesn't look like ick to me... until you see more than one white dot I wouldn't worry about it... i don't know what kind of lights you are running but I think your Kole's coloration is looking very healthy...

I'm using WavePoint T5's. I think I found the source of the scratch on his side as well. There's a small lip broken off my Hollywood Stunner and it looks rather sharp!
