Yep, try and keep the temp at a constant level. Can you connect the fan to the timer running your lights so the fan comes on and off with the lights? Also, not a good idea to keep the heaters unplugged. When we get the next cold snap, your temp may drop too far...

you might need a new heater &/or at least check the calibration & set temp.
