Thank for the video, will try it...Do it yourself it's super easy just like drilling a hole in wood. You just have to keep the hole wet. I even put a video on YouTube.
Thanks for the offer, I will see what I can do. will let you know if i need it.I've got a guide jig I can loan out. Gotta find it but I have one.
LOL!!I'm finding it very hard to stay "G" or "PG" in this thread... it'd be so easy and it's all right there to move into "R and/or X" rated.
The advice so far is all sound though. Another big pointer is don't push or force the drill. Let the weight of the drill and bit do the work, all you need to do is manage the speed of the bit and hold it steady. Hitting it from both sidesis also best to avoid cracks and chip outs as the bit passes the final layers. One side doesn't need much either, 1/16" to an 1/8" is more than enough avoid blow out of the glass when drilling on the opposite side.
You CANNOT drill tempered glass. So, un-tempered only.is this for tempered or untempered glass?
do yo happen to know anywhere that would be able to modify a tempered glass cover? You CANNOT drill tempered glass. So, un-tempered only.
Once the glass is tempered that's it, nothing else can be done to the actual glass. You can glue things to it though. But any attempt to cut or drill will result in it shattering into tiny pieces, just like a car window.do yo happen to know anywhere that would be able to modify a tempered glass cover?
