I am a new member and I am seeking help with a large reef tank that I am struggling to maintain after my husband's recent death. I live south of Atlanta and am looking for someone to help with tank maintenance while at the same time teaching me how to take care of this tank. Does anyone know who I coud contact?

So sorry to hear of your loss. I live north of Atl but we may have a member or two down your way. The closest marine fish store to you I can find is either the Petco in Columbus or "Off the Hook" in Peachtree City https://www.offthehookmarinefish.com/
I would suggest calling Off The Hook and see what they recommend along with waiting some time to see if anyone here is located near you.

Best of luck!

Off the hook will probably be your best bet, peach tree city isn’t too far from Lagrange.

I am probably 45 min from you but I will be traveling up your way for work next week, probably Tuesday. I can’t provide on going maintenance, but could take a look at the system. Feel free to pm me if you would like.

Thank you so much. I did contact Off the Hook and they do not have staff for maintenance right now.

I'm also very sorry to hear of your loss. I know Premier Aquatics has the biggest maintenance fleet in Atlanta. I just don't know how far out they go from Marietta.

@Wmb0003 is in Auburn, AL and is the closest member I know of to you.
Thank you so much, I will reach out to Premier Aquatics but i am iin Lagrange so I suspect that will be out of their area. Maybe the Auburn person will know someone, I can learn to take care of it if someone can teach me.

It's a very hard thing to teach quickly, most of us are still learning. If you post up some pics of the tank and expand on the issues you're having we can offer some help for you to get the basics down.
Remotely it would be best to find someone on the forum that can give you advice on a one to one or smaller group chat. That would help keep the confusion down as there are many ways to do things and a lot of different opinions. I think some of the help threads sometimes hurt newer hobbyists more than they help. Between that and an occasional visitor you might be able to avoid the expense of a company service.
