After a long wait I'll be swapping my 72 gallon reef into my 220 today.
Any suggestions to make it easier. I am going to drip all fish and coral into the new system.

I will be following this one.Are you using the water out of you 72gal

Get yourself a bottle of Seachem Stabilty. I've done this many of times and this stuff is a life safer.

The other thing I can recommend is not going out and loading up the new size tank with all new animals. Give the system some time to age and be patient. Patients is a virtue in this hobby. If you rush things....YOU"LL BE SORRY!!

Cool Beans!!

I shook my live rock off in a bucket of saltwater prior to putting in new tank. It clouded a lot less then prior times were I just did tank to tank swaps.

when i went from the 75 to the 100 stock tank and then to the 120. i treated it like a large wc. made sure temp and sg was the same and then to 75% of the water from the smaller tank and used it so i never dripped or anything and it went smooth. i moved about a gallon of sand from the 75 to the stock tank and then only about a quart to the 120. i did remove all the pods in the water that was in the sump from the 75 to the 120.

i still use stability in every wc every week

Well here it is minus the canopy.
