Tell me how to WIN the battle against brown hairy shrooms?!

No, but I've used it on worse stuff (aitptasia and majanos). I personally would remove the rock, pull off what you can, nuke the "stump", rinse in SW and put the rock back.

I'll probably do this when I move the tank... Its really just one or two rocks that I'm truly concerned about ... but they have corals I'd like to keep. Might just frag the coral then deal with the rock.

I used boiling water once for aptasia, but it came back a month later..kalk paste - gone

I am at my bro's house in Salt Lake City and he has a 29 gal and he has literally 100's of HUGE aptasia everywhere - he thought they were good but they have literally taken over...we bought 2 pep shrimp yesterday and I will start manual removal today as well. some of these are 6" long and 2" in diameter...cant remove any rock unfortunately. wish me luck
