Anyone have or know of someone that has a temperate (50-60 degrees) system? I'm getting ready to set one up & it would be nice to find someone local to talk with or maybe check out each others tanks.

Thanks
Jim

Lol nice. Check out the big boards there's a few cold temp tanks. I talked to a few guys doing it and had plans to but never got to it

Yeah I planed to use 1" acrylic for the main tank & use foam insulation around the sump.

Hard to believe there isn't anyone in this area that has a temperate tank, but it's not looking good so far.

i actully searched for about 30 min lastnight and could not find anything worth posting. when you LQQK for cold water it keeps coming up gold fish.

then i had a brain fart while typing this and searched for lobster tanks. there is alot of info on them.

I am more interested in finding some or one local person that does this. I appreciate the thought & effort but I have already done a ton of research, just looking for someone to be able to visit with maybe do group buys etc.

If anyone else is interested I'd be happy to share what I've learned on the subject. Temperate reef & nano reef biotope forum has some active people/info on all this, also many of the cold water critters are non-photosynthetic filter feeders so Azoox.org is good for NPS things.
