I'm having a bit of a temperature discrepancy. I have been going off a small mercury thermometer during my cycle and my tank's been at a constant 79-80F. When I hooked up my Apex temperature probe and let it sit for a few hours it only reads 75.7F. I have a small digital cooking thermometer that I stuck in and it reads 76.5F. Should I get another thermometer to test it out or trust the mercury. The tank water does feel a bit cooler than 80F to me. I also know the Apex was fairly accurate. Yesterday I removed it from my old tank that had one of those stick on the glass temp strips and both were reading the same.
