Testing newly made salt water batch.

That's unacceptable! :D How can new water still in a mixing station lose that much. This water was not in long enough to add any precipitation to the lid of the mixing station. :D if it loses that much in less than a day, how could possibly last any amount of time in a tank where it is actually being used in And precipitated? I have no doubt that some could precipitate over time if setting there. But I was giving some time to that window. :D
I was under the assumption that we are suppose to wait for at least a day before you put newly mixed salt water into your tank. Is that wrong?
I normally wait at least 12hrs. I might top off the Salinity level an hour before, as I normally add just under my target to start. Then add an hour before whatever I need to bring to my target.

I don't use Salinity but I mix my water for 1 to 2 hours and then in the tank it goes.

In the good old days, water had to be "aged" or it was toxic. Not so much now, and in fact agitating too much for too long can cause precipitation. I believe this was discussed in a thread about Salinity (brand) salt.

How much water are you making at a time, and what are you mixing it with (ie how big of a pump)?

About 10gal, and a small 425gph pump, like what you would see in a bio cube.
I thought it was the salt that was toxic if used to soon, not the water? :D

Hmmm, that shouldn't be an issue then...

Are you adding salt to the water, or water to the salt?
