The Banggai Cardinal is the first saltwater fish to be listed on the endangered Species Act as a threatened species. If it is placed on the list of endangered fish, it will be illigal to trade and sell Banggai Cardinals. Are clownfish next?

I have a mated pair of banghaii cardinals for sale, $9,000
 
I would think by the time this passes there would be exceptions made for captive bred fish. Similar things happen quite often on the freshwater side of the hobby. Usually only ends up banning anything involving wild fish.

Exactly . I pretty sure they would not require destruction of those already in captivity.:eek:

Even if so, who would actually police this? Or anything domestic between hobbyists?
