I'm off to hide from the rotten tomatoes now.

Me too! I have some really crappy old MH right now (upgrading soon) but I still like it better than the t-5s.

In all seriousness, I'm in agreement that joining the club was the single best thing I've done. Great people, great friends, great info,...this club has so much to offer and I'm grateful to be a part of it all.

Equipment wise-phosphate reactor or a DSB...it's a tie between the 2

If I would seriously have One thing it would have to be "listening" Almost every situation in this hobby as been experienced by someone. What they did right or wrong, saving links to DIY or treatment solutions based on others experience. Listen to the knowledge that the enthusiast have gained from trial, error, and success.

Not sure if the was 2009 or 2008 but the best thing I have started lately is Intercepter dip every coral I add to my tank. This was caused by an infestation of "Little Red Bugs", I have not had then since!

I also pay closer attention to my CA reactor and tune it about every 2 weeks to make sure CA is at 400 or higher. Its easy to get lulled into a sense of security with these things and I have ended up running lower CA levels (~350) for periods of time which does encumber overall coral health.
