The Quilted Reef Build

Current view of tank and some close ups. You will notice as predicted my squamosa has moved 🙂
I have been working over the last year to get my phosphates down by carefully dosing lanthanum chloride. Last summer my phosphate was 3-4ppm. No I didn't forget the decimal point. I believe that phosphate may have been leaching from the rock. Went out of town and phosphates had spiked (I think I bumped the slider in the autofeeder so too much food. Unfortunately I dropped phosphates too low and added the new dry arch replacing some live rock.
I ended up with a dino outbreak and have been working at getting that under control with UV and microbacter7. It is almost like the arch has been going through all the “new” tank stages 🙁
