That used to work for me, but I logged into my eBay account on her phone once and now she knows every time I bid on something. :argue:
 
I just buy whatever I want and say that the tank is more important

Pretty much the exact same situation I'm in. My wife varies from tolerating it to somewhat supporting. She likes the tank. Loves the fish. Hates the cost. She does enjoy the education aspect though for the kids.
 
I just received my after school care tax form and from Aug to Dec I spent over 2k in after school care. I don't even want to add up the rest of the money I spend for these kids. I can only imagine what kind of tank I could have had.... Plus they will probably hate me when they are teenagers anyway.
