Thoughts on a reefkeeper lite. What controller should I get?

It all depends on what you want to use it for.......

And of course the budget...

as far as powerheads go you can buy a powerhead controller for cheaper. I've got a red sea one I would be willing to sell if you're interested. it controls 4. I have a reefkeeper lite that controls my chiller/heaters and lights and I like it a lot. If you want to get crazy with your tank I would go with a apex. they are freakin awesome

I just got an apex. I am not a computer guy, so i had my wife program it for me and then teach me how to do what I wanted it to do. Kinda embarrassing really... I hear that the reef keeper is a lot easier to program and use, but doesnt have as many features.

For what you want you should probably go with the APEX JR. Its a bit more than the Reefkeeper Lite, but has more bells. I have the RKL, but as of now I only control my Halides, VHO, Heater through it, so it does what I need. The Apex Jr. is probably $40 bucks more and does that and then some. All depends on what you want to do.

You should have this... it's invaluable.

Thanks! Browsing through right now.

The thing that drew me to the apex jr is the Internet interface. I can control it from my phone or laptop when I go out of town for work
