The reviews are terrible on BRS, but then there are people who give it 5 stars and say everyone is doing it wrong.

What's the deal? Is it good ? Is it bad? is it ugly?

Thanks

I've been satisfied with it for over 3 years. My checker still seems to be within specs when i check it with the Hanna Certified Standard sample, and plus or minus 6% is accurate enough for my taste.

Edit: I don't find it too complicated, but it does require RODI and sample water and two reagents. A little more complicated than the alk test but infinitely easier than the nitrate test, and no drop by drop procedure looking for color change.

It is a PIA to do, can’t stand it. Sorry to go against the flow, but I don’t like complicated testing.

Thanks for the feedback guys :) I don't think its for me. I need idiot proof (points to myself)

It isn't completely idiot proof. With a set process you can do repeated tests within the margin of error. I don't find it that hard at all. Now that the new kits come with the pipette tool the test is almost foolproof.

9ml of RO or distilled water, 1ml of reagent A. Zero sample. 100ul of tank water with the pipette tool, add reagent B packet. Mix and get results.

The big plus is being colorblind, I don't need help.

I have also been happy with my results. Initially I had some trouble with consistency until I got better at getting all the reagent out of the packet and into the vial.
