So I actually did a water change today, filled up ATO container, put some corals back where they go, and cleaned all the way down to the sand bed. 1.5 hrs later things look much better!

Nice! Love the fact that you are letting the coral grow out and be your aquascaping

Thanks smooth. That's actually the goal here. There is only about 75 lbs of LR in this 125 tank.

I made the rockwork very open (although its hard to tell from the picture) with intentions of letting the corals fill it in.

Basically its 2 crescent shaped rock structures.. with the bow toward the front...

there is a gap between them where the orange caps are growing.. and it is bridged at the top with a single rock...

I'm going to try to find some OLD pictures BEFORE the grow in :)

YES!

Check it!

good to look back and see your progress.. u know

basically everything grew fro small frags.. as you can see

The tank is about 3 years old

i THINK the only thing I've really lost is the maxima clam...

it WAS doing great.. until I knocked it down behind the rockwork and forgot about it :....

talking about FOULING the water!

The second FTS above DOES remind me of a goal that I had.. though... that I'm starting to fail at.

I REALLLY wanted open swimming room above everything instead of having it crowded with corals.

I suppose I need to keep that in mind. The blooming stag I have there now is just about to hit the water surface....only has a few inches to go.

Stag that was referred too.
