I find myself at times not wanting to spend the money on things that I should have. I did get into the leds kinda early on there arrival. I went with the mm leds. I thought I was completely satisfied. Turns out I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, I loved the mm leds(even with no dimming). I always kinda a laughed at folks spending that kind of money on the high dollar leds when the less expensive leds were just as good. I have changed my tank layout and have transformed into a chalice tank for the most part. I decided I wanted more control over the lighting and stared checking them out. I first tried the AI Hydra. Very nice light but I wanted more. I picked up the Radions and all I can say is WOW. I should have spent the money a while back. I am at 50% intensity and wow what a difference. I see crisper colors and its kinda like going from a regular tv to a high def. t.v.. All the colors are there but the corals are more defined now. Just wanted to put that out there incase anyone was wandering about the difference and if the investment was worthy or not. My vote "YES".

How long have you had them installed on you tank? and what kind of corals do you have? I'm curious to know if you have any SPS, what kind are they?

Nice! Thanks for the insight. I have been debating what I want to use on my next build.

Did you ever modify the MM's and go full spectrum by adding 420nm, 480nm, 660nm, and warm whites?

They are only a week old. Not sure over the long haul how they will do but very impressed with color. I do have a couple sps. Garth Bonsi, icefire, rainbow delight, and a couple others I do not remember names to. I had added uv chips to the mm leds. I always thought it was the uv that the sps needed. Best growth always came from halide(uv), ok growth with t5(not as much uv) and folks having problem with led(no uv). I have tried reviewing as much as I can and it looks like it is the more full spectrum the sps get the better.

Edit: I added uvs, warm whites, reds, green, and different blues. I loved the color they were putting out. I just wanted to dim and change colors. I didn't realize I would get that much out of them.

yes radions are totally worth it. i have a first gen over my tank and its been there for a little over 2 years now and the colors are still amazing and i have good growth on all my montis and had awesome growth on my birds nest before a crash killed it. all my lps are growing great as well so i would definitely reccomend radions to anyone wanting to jump into leds. im actually about to upgrade to the new g3 radion pros when i upgrade my tank this year. which fixture did you get amy? g1, g2, g3, pro or g3 pro?

I've been emailing with ETM this week about the upgrade.

Now if I can sell the upgrade to my wife..
