Torch coral hitch-hiker.

Picked this up yesterday and had a surprise today when I saw it. Not really sure what it is, some kind of feather duster or something I guess.

Looks like a barnacle. Does it open and close, repeatedly? If so, that's what it is.

Harmless. Kind of cool to watch.

today Keith bought a large carpet anemone with a hitchhiker. The hitchhiker was a clownfish. lol.

I have had issues with barnacles growing in the middle of torch heads. Eventually, the barnacle grew so large that it caused that head of torch to die off. The barnacle did not allow the skeleton of the torch to properly form...
 
id try taking a needle and shoot some kalk right down in the hole that it lives in. if the torch is still opening and growing it should grow around the barnacle and be fine in the long run just be carefull not to hit the torch with the kalk

Edit: or maybe a drop of supreglue and again dont hit the torch with it lol
