hey you should factor in the pumps and all the other stuff which might set off those factory quotes not saying you have to but it would help out in the long run

Seems Pretty Crazy To Me To. That Water Mast Have Been Real Hot Before I Got To It .when Its 100 Outside Its Probably 15 Inside My House As Our Ac Just Went Out A Week Or 2 Ago And Has To Be Replacedtop To Bottom.i Guess Thats What Happens When Ypu Buy A Old Farm House

Im Gonna Keep Checking My Parimeters Over The Next Few Weeks And If All Is Well Do A 50 Percent Water Change

Where do you keep your temp at? And where was the temperature when you came home? I keep my temp at 85 now. Came home today and realized the external pump died (chiller was at the sump in the garage), Display tank water went low and burnt out 2 Koralias, and temp was at 90. Everything was fine tho.

I'll give you some free frags if you ever come south of atlanta.

I am running a Current Aqua Chill 1/2 hp on the 220 gal and have it set on 78 deg. On at 79 off at 77. It's been hot as ....well you know. They say 104 tomorrow. Boys at local high schools are having football practices at 5 am!! to beat the heat. As for my tank, I have cut the photo period down by an hour to save some GP $$$.

Sorry for your loss.

Sounds like a 1/5th would be way to small for a 210 in your enviorment.

1/3 "may" be enough. But 1/2$$ would deffenitly handle that pull down.
I'm just trying to learn here with this question not being noisy. But what is your room temp that your water got that hot? It seems to their would have to be a number of factors to get your water that hot. in the 98s

yea no matter what 100degrees will kill everything including myself. You said your chiller been broken for two days. Did you notice it when it's already too late?
I'm seriously sorry for your lost. My friendly advice would be to get the biggest chiller for your budget, 1/4 would be just right, and a 1/3 isn't an overkill. You will EVENTUALLy upgrade tanks :)

Well Right Now We Are Keeping Our Selfs Cool With Fans As Our Central Air Has Also Crapped Out On Us,as For A Chiller I Picked Up 1/2 Chiller From A Good Friend For 200 Bucks What A Great Friend I Have.he Only Used It For 3 Months And Ypgraded To A 1 Hp Chiller .

I would be willing to help you restock some of your corals if you didn't capitalize every word in your sentences. It gives me a headache! In the alternative, don't leave the caps lock on... and I'll throw some nice corals your way. :)

went to the meeting in tennesee and purchased a ton of new frag that r in my mother reef tank right now.now i just have to start stocking the fish one more time.i would also like to thank everyone for having such a great concern for me and my tank.

wow thanks man, right now im not adding any fish for another week or so but ill take the frog spawn as i can put it into my moms reef tank till i feel secure putting everything i purchased in.i will be looking for clowns in a week or so as long as my tank stays stable ,so far so good.

+1 for Assault.

If you want, you can come over to my house and I'll give you a few frags of anything you like.

I know reefers put literally thousands of dollars into their systems. I wonder if something like this would be covered under homeowners insurance? Even with the deductible, you might be able to recover some loss? Maybe not for a 125g, but what about the huge systems I read about here? Do you insure them?

Something to think about when investing in future tanks.
