Hey guys,

I'm upgrading from a 110 reef to a 225 in the next couple of weeks. I have some unwanted pests in some of my live rock that I'd like to use for the new tank.

Is there a solution or treatment I can apply to my old live rock before putting it into my new system that will get rid of most of the pests?

Thanks!

Michael

The only way, I know of, Kills everthing. Bleachhhh.. or H2O2

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT combine muriatic acid ( other wise known as hydroclorir acid) and bleach.

I did bleach solution for 3 weeks (more of a procrastination then anything else ;-) then rinsed several times. I let it air dry for several weeks... Ok more procrastination on my part. I was tring to rid of bryopsis.

What pests are you trying to get rid of?
