Hi,
I'm pretty new here. I mainly hang out scouting the dry goods section. But I figured I would post my tanks. I had a 30 gallon cube tank many years ago and then i moved and it sat in storage. Well in October i had the bug to get back into but the 30 gallon just wasn't going to cut it. So i bought a 120 gallon (48x24x24) set up off craigslist and thats where my addiction began. I finished up the stand on the 120 with the wood trim, new cabinet doors, and a nice shelf surrounding the tank to make it look finished.

Fast forward to the end of Feb. I saw an awesome stand and canopy on craigslist. It was a peninsula tank (scratched up and needed resealing) with a beautiful stand canopy and locker. Peninsula's were always my favorite and with it being right after my birthday I justified buying it for myself. The tank was just in too bad of shape for a display tank so i splurged and bought a new 125 Marineland tank from Simon.

I am currently selling my 120 tank and stand. I also have a 55 gal. bow front with a stand that i got in a deal for some coral that i need to get rid of as well.

Here are a couple pictures of my transition from the 120 setup to my new favorite tank. I also included a picture of my Welso that my PB tag decided to murder one day... RIP. I'm afraid to buy another.

Thanks,
Austin

Welcome, nice tanks!
Love the peninsula tank. I've got a space for one and that scary!

I feel your pain on the welso, it looked similar to mine (check out my avatar) it was a beauty!

Just some simple iPhone shots. Still haven't found the right settings on the lights to get the colors to pop in pictures.

Welcome! Your tanks are beautiful, especially the peninsula! Great to have the view from both sides, too! Thanks for sharing!

Well I have put the hobby on the back burner but now I am ready to get back into it after moving into a new house. I will be moving my DT tank once I get my fish room set up and the tanks cycled. I will now have a mixing station, separate observation tank for livestock and dedicated frag tank in addition to my DT. It is still a messy but I am making some progress. Now it's time to get the tanks cycled so i can begin transferring coral and fish from my DT tank.

Thanks,
Austin

I like it!
I think you've got the plan and it's going to turn out great.
please keep us post as it progresses.

You have jumped in with both feet! Lol Your tanks look great and we love pictures so keep us updated. Welcome to the ARC!

Got my extra t5 light hung with some redneck engineering but I like it. Had some extra live rock so they are now in the tanks starting the cycling process.

These Frankenstein tanks are turning out pretty nicely, didn't realize I've accumulated so much stuff over the past year.

Still despise HOB filters, skimmers, etc. but I already had it and it's just for an observation tank.

I ordered Fiji mud for the Refugium and waiting on my external skimmer to come it for the frag tank. I don't even have a Refugium on my display tank.

Here are some pictures.

Once these two tanks are cycled I will move my livestock from my DT currently at my parents to the 55 bow front and then my coral will go in the frag tank. I will then have the time and won't be rushed move the DT to my new house and get that back up and running. Can't wait to get my peninsula tank over here.

Soo change of plans. Picked up a great looking 60g RR tank this morning. I will be plumbing it into my frag tank sump and therefore eliminating the 55 gallon bow front, all the HOB madness and will be transferring everything in the 55 to the 60g.

Now I know why I stopped frequenting this site... All my money goes to fish stuff haha.

Austin, looks like you got bit by the bug dude.
One big tank is what i boiled down too, i've seen this symptoms before....lol

Agree with Marlon there, I got trizzinos old 120 and then added a 30 cube. Next tank will be a 300 and that's it.... Well maybe

Yeah I've been bit and just now have the room to set it all up. I'm anxious to get my DT set up.
