Troubling article on the Great Barrier Reef

I know we all love Aussie Corals, especially SPS, but in the near future we may be greatly limited, or even cut off from acquiring corals from that region.

While the article doesn't touch on collection for the aquarium trade, it does point to other issues that will affect it.

Very sad, sad that we may be cut off and that the world is loosing this amazing reef. I'm sure someone is going to pop off about it being our fault as reef hobbyist. The tiny amount of coral collected for us is very insignificant when compared to the massive devastation caused by pollution and crown of thorn starfish. I watched time lapse video of starfish decimating miles of reef. Heartbreaking...
