I don't understand why u are trying to do? The seaweed will fall apart if left in the water. And bits of it will get into ur water column? If you are trying to store it, a ziplock bag in a dry area is good enough
Picked up frags last night and was given some green stuff out of his sump. not sure which kind it is. I know that the tang is all over it though. I eat the dry seaweed everyday like potato chips.
Edit: So plastic in salt water wont mess anything up??
Oh macro algae . Keep it in ur sump, overflow, etc. as long as some light hits it, it'll be fine. I wouldn't want to float something in the tank. The algae will be fine, but the rock work and spa might not be .
