hi i have two tanks and im not sure what i want to do with them. do i want a fowlr or a reef tank? what are the pros and cons of each? thanks for your time and your words..

Edit: and i forgot to put the tanks are a 65 and a 40

i can already see this was a bad idea... i want everything i see in the for sale sec.. lmao. thanks for the welcome btw

If you decide to go FOWLR, be 100% sure. Most people get the itch to add coral at some point and not all fish are reef safe. If you are unsure, start out FOWLR but only pick fish that are reef safe. As for upkeep, it is a bit more but that is half the fun. :-) Oh, and welcome to the site. We got you hooked now. LOL

I think I'm just going to do fish only right now from what I have read Ill have to get better lighting if I do a reef and my tanks are not reef ready I'll be using hob filters

Welcome to the ARC!

IMO you would be better served drilling your tanks and installing sumps. If you are somewhat handy with power tools you can do it yourself as it is fairly easy or there are several members here that can do it for you for a very good price. Not to knock HOB's but sumps work a lot better and are easier to maintain. Besides that it gets your skimmer etc under the tank and hidden.

One of the stands isn't setup for a way to put a tank under it and the other tank and stand only has 11" wide and a Lil under 48" long to work with
