Hey ya'll,

I have a biocube 29. my co worker is letting me try a 9002 for my tank to decide if i want to purchase from him. i have a few questions if you can offer advice.
first, will it fit without modifying the hood? will i have to leave the back door open to accomodate the colection cup?
second, it looks like i have to put it in the middle chamber so do i attach it to the right side near the overflow or on the left side near the return chamber?
third, anyone used one with a biocube? any advice or tips?

thanks

I have this skimmer in my Solana 34g. If you get the upgraded cup on the above site you may be able to run it like it is stock. I have also changed the air intake and it is much quieter and seems more efficient.

yeah go to mediabaskets.com he has all the mods and info to make this skimmer work in a biocube 29...the only thin he doesnt mention is that because its in the middle chamber and the water fluctuates there that you will need an ATo to make water level consistent for it to function at peak performance....i personally use an aquaticlife 115 in the first chamber since that chambers water height stays the same

Edit: oh and the tunze runs around $120 and the aquaticlife is $40
