Turkey oyster died

Apparently one of the turkey oysters attached to a piece of live rock died. The peppermint shrimp, nassarius snails, and even a gorilla crab (which is getting too big for my liking) are all on it pulling out white chuncks from between the shell. Should i attempt to break it off or just leave it for the clean up crew to eat? My tank is only 36 gallons so i dont want a nitrate spike.

Wellps nm.. I grabbed it and shell pulled right off. I had to take out the piece of LR to get the rest of the meat. In the process i caught the gorilla crab. I have him in a cup right now. Dont wanna kill him but i know theres no use for him. Anyone want it? Heh

lol.. i had to end up crushing him with a shrimp skewer.. i felt really bad about it.. but he was already getting too big and i know i would have never had the chance to catch him again.
