First and foremost, I will be staying with my nanna to help ease some financial binds on her for a little. The 90 gallon will be set-up at her place. It's a fairly new double wide trailer. The tank will be on a load bearing wall. Will the 90 fully set-up with a 30 gallon sump under the tank. Will the floor be capable of supporting this load?

Secondly, since this tank will be starting from scratch, I am thinking about using a bucket of IO to start with for the cycle. After all is cycled, I would do a huge water change and start using RC or Salinity. Anybody see a problem with this train of thought?

They are easy to get underneath and add extra support to for your tank. A few boards or concrete blocks is pretty cheap insurance on this. I've seen it done with a 300g.

Very true. I thought about doing so as a matter of fact.

Mey, my single wide is holding my 90 just fine on one side (plus stand, sump, fuge, RDSB, etc).

really? Sweet. It wouldn't hurt any to put some support under it though.

Meh, then I thought about how many people we've had on my couch (and I have some big friends) and I'm honestly not worried.

Sounds like that was a heck of a party!

Thats approx 900 - 1100 lb sitting on one spot for a long time - I would support it in some fashion under the house. Trying to help nanna could end up costing her a new floor! and you would lose your tank :yuk:

i have about a 3000 lb load on my floor with my 210 plus 40 gal sump + equip and would hate to dig that out of the basement!

I would look at putting something under it. That tank will be heavy!

I would at least go under, and see what is under the tank...

Actually most modular or mobile home floor systems are rated to carry much more load that conventional homes. They are designed to carry the full weight of the home while in transit to it's destination. They have two huge I-beams down the center of the floor system. It would not be a bad idea to check the blocking in the area of the tan.

The tank will be on the right side of the main I-beams. I will def check under the floor where the tank will sit.
