Here is a picture of our "baby" in the pre birth stage. We finally have everything we need (not necessarily want but some of that too ).
Next pic will hopefully be a living room devoid of boxes and a tank with rocks, sand and water in it! And my new little clowns if their QT is completed by then!

Not the whole 9 yars lol. We got the APEX el. Basic setup. Are you going to have time to come back and help us with the plumbing? You can look at it then.
Absolutely! Just let us know when!

We are ready whenever you guys have time. Beggars can't be choosers now, can they?
And I so cannot wait to get a new phone, this one makes me look like an idiot.

im still trying to figure out all this apex stuff.... before i buy one lol
It seems a lot more daunting than it really is. Some folks hate them and think they're garbage. I LOVE mine. I bought mine used (the full setup) for only $500 from a fellow reefer. It had some log corruption and wasn't keeping an internet connection. I contacted APEX and they dialed into the apex unit and fixed it for free. Once mine was online it's so friggin nice. And just a little peace of mind when I'm not home (working 10+ hours per day plus at least an hour commute).

I just finished building this shed for our water mixing station. Yes, against the advise of some, it is outside. It is on the same wall as the tank is on the inside. I dont have a basement for it, no space in the house and, as you can see from the outside picture of my house, my detached garage is no where near my house and also on the opposite side of where the tank is located.
. need to figure out the plumbing. Going to hang the RO/DI on 2x4's right above the white water tank. The water source is to the right of the shed as is the gfci outlet. There are already drains build into the concrete floor or the covered porch so waste water will be diverted to one of those.
My thought is to have RODI water in the white tank, have the white tank plumbed directly to my ATO tank through the wall and also attached to the Brute, which will be my salt water container. It's a little tight inside that shed but I think I can finagle a pump and pvc in there to make it all work. Ideas appreciated.

I am sure you thought through these potential issues with RoDI and water storage outside: below freezing temps causing containers or tubing to crack due to expansion of ice, ice cold water in ATO causing issues in tank, hot water in tubing and RoDI and ATO during heat wave. Maybe insulating?

Yes, thought about all of that. Will be insulating the pipes. The spicket in the front comes up straight out of the porch up the front side of the house. It is insulated and has never frozen. I will pay close attention to the temperature of the water and I'm planning to put sheet foam insulation inside that shed too. Im just going to have to see how it goes I guess. I dont really have any other options because of the configuration of my house.

Maybe when your husband recovers he can do a small shed insulated extension right there with it opened to your house and then it will all be heated and cooled with your house- since it is a covered area with a cement foundation already.
