Guess Ill take it out to the garage and fill it with water and leave it for a few days and hope this isn't a huge issue, the petco sale already ended right?

I was just in pet supply plus on Cheshire they had $1 per gallon signs on their tanks. Might give them a call, but that chip doesn't look like it'll be a problem when it comes to holding water. Just aesthetics

That's what I'm hoping, if it does break that an excuse to get a bigger tank lol

Yes I would just wet sand it a little bit with some fine grit sandpaper just to smooth out the rough spots

Alright I sanded it down and filled it up to the crack with water well see how we'll this goes

you might think about filling it all the way up, put the full load on it

just kidding...

I'd rather it break in the garage than the carpet I installed last weekend :)

what size tank is it? if its small and they're running a sale I would just buy a new one. it looks like you already drilled it.. that's kind of a bummer

It's a 40 breeder, if I get a new one I'd probably try and find something taller in a 36x18 footprint but it's holding for now, well see how it goes.
