uncured live rock question

Can I put uncrued live rock directly into a NEW tank? I have nothing in it yet, but have a chance to get some really nice stuff for a good price and but I have only bought cured in the past? What should I be looking out for? I know alot of hitchhickers... anything else, just a huge cycle?

Usually takes a good 2 months to cycle.
Use a good phosphate remover when you cycle.
I tend to prefer uncured rock over cycled just for all of the micro fauna that comes with it.
Just look out for any unwanted hitch hiker that can come with it.

Make sure your skimmer is ready to roll. You will pull some very nice sludge for the first week or so. Check the cup often!
