Keep us posted on the life of that second membrane if you dont mind. On the surface though... much better results than i, when i tried it in 2013. My membrane literally melted by the 90 day mark.

Great point. BRS recommends a flush kit on each membrane to prevent that from happening.

Hmmm 1 gallon of brine for 3 gallons of RO? That does not sound right.

The second membrane is one way to reduce waste, a permeate pump is another. The permeate pump can also help with low pressure issues. It's non-electric, it just forces the water back through the membrane again.
