Over the span of that video it looks like everything mentioned and none!? Very strange and interesting.

Nice post!

Did you watch the whole video? Around the 5 minute mark is where I stopped thinking that myself.

I watched the end again, and it does look like it could be something. Very cool regardless.

Looks biologic to me and <u>not being a biologist</u> outside of my own little ocean I think the placenta makes the most sense when considering the entire video. The "moving on it's own" I don't really see, it looks like its moving with the current, not than plenty of animals don't do that, but the way it gets wrapped in itself doesn't seem quite right. Also I can imagine it wrapped around a developing organism and then that "tail" being what connected the young to its mother. Hexagonal shapes on skin could just be natures way of making a stronger placenta. Again, everything I said is rubbish as I've never seen a whale's placenta or any of the suggested jellyfish. I'm just playing along (-=

i see what looks like respiratory veins at 1:46 and beyond. Its an animal .

4:33 is an appendage of some sort.. maybe a mouth?

looks like something that would survive at EXTREME depths. i mean.. without a structure what is there to crush under pressure as long as cells can still function.

honestly, who KNOWS whats down there!

Edit: just MO

Very cool, it kind of looks like a blanket squid without the squid...
