i just went through like 37 pages of polyp images on yahoo and didnt see anything even close. Like i said it has no mouth but it also doesnt have tentacles.

I cant find anything even close to what it looks like. It grew out of white stuff thats always been on the live rock

It looks like a frag plug to me. Perhaps someone stuck a frag plug on the rock and then lost the coral?

Take it out and take a picture then decide that you want to flush it. If it is bad and you pull it out then bad is no more. But, if it is good then you just lost a 1/2" of good and maybe get a better camera with a 1/2" of good. DING DING DING
