Yes and no. It's built-in to the tank itself (no sump underneath). It's similarly configured to a Biocube or similar - chamber in the back of the tank. Water flows over the "teeth" into the chamber, and gets pumped back in. Room for a skimmer, and/or a small refugium.

Brian ran this tank at home for several years -it was pretty when he had it.

You could drill it or use a hang-on overflow box. I'm not a fan of hang-on overflow boxes, though... "overflow" is often the operative word. They are prone to failure.

If I had a large system, I would buy one of these and plumb it into the system (at least a 100 gal system) for more stability. In fact, I plan to. This tank is designed for holding/growing out coral frags.
 
That guy always has them for sale, at least for the past year. I think he builds your tank after pay for it.
